Risk stratification for progression of cancer and Alzheimer's disease
Dr. Stela Vujosevic i Dr. Natasa Popovic are the guest editors in the journal of Frontiers in Physiology, Vascular physiology section. They serve as the topic editors for the research topic: „Vascular Biomarkers for Non/Invasive Assessment of Aging-Related Diseases“. The manuscript submission deadline is July 22nd 2022.
Dr. Isidora Rovčanin Dragović will present preliminary results from the project DEMONSTRATE related to the research on mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s dementia at the 16th World Congress on Controversies in Neurology. This conference will be held virtually from March 24-27, 2022.

Two members of the DEMONSTRATE research team, Ljiljana Vučković MD PhD, and Janja Raonić MD participated in the First Congress of the Section for Histology and Embryology of the Serbian Medical Association. The congress was organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary since founding the Institute of Histology and Embryology “Aleksandar Đ. Kostić” at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade.
Dr. Vučković and Dr. Raonić presented preliminary results from the project DEMOSTRATE related to colon cancer research. The presentation was titled “Analysis of expression levels of selected microRNAs and their correlation with clinical and pathological characteristics of colon cancer”.
